4k Porn Is Here and Shows You Every. Single. Detail. (NSFW)

Scream overkill all you want. The fact of the matter is that, whether you like it or not, hyper-realistic, ultra definition, get-as-close-to-being-in-the-action-as-you-possibly-can 4K TV is here to stay. So it's no wonder that—just like everything else in life—it's already being used for porn.

Just launched yesterday, the adult content website Huccio claims to be the very first company to offer 4K Ultra HD downloads of sexytime movies. Or more specifically, they're "the first to ever master all of our content in 4K and release it in 4K." So what does that mean for you, the loyal lonesome viewer? A razor-sharp view of every thrusting, jiggling, bouncing body part in all its glory. It sounds terrifying.

4k Porn Is Here and Shows You Every. Single. Detail. (NSFW)S

In an email conversation with Giz, Toni Tsai, one of Huccio's creators, said that he believes that people will adapt to seeing every stray hair, mole, and burgeoning (yet manageable!) blister during their special alone time.

There seems to be some backlash online about how "gross" porn would look at 4k, but we big to differ. =)

I will say that more care needs to be taken during the shooting and post process as you will inevitably see more details. Details do mean more flaws exposed but when done right, as we hope you see in our content, it can look amazing.

Huccio is certainly banking a lot on the fact that they're right; the minds behind the site have been shooting all that crystal-clear content for over a year now. You won't be able to see the full fruit of that labor until December 1st, though, when the subscription and pay-per-view options go live, at which point new videos will be released weekly. For now, the 4K-curious have to make due with a free membership that includes stills and 4-minute teasers. Which, Tsai assures, are "beautifully edited."

Right now, all these free clips are being released in H264 form; once HVEC hits, though, those files will finally start whittling down closer to HD-sized territory. Which is pretty impressive considering that this (NSFW NSFW NSFW) teaser is only a fourth of the resolution of its full potential (NSFW):

And there is a lot of potential, which Huccio is eager to get in on early. Tsai tells us:

As 4k cameras become cheaper, I think the porn industry will definitely crossover and 4k will become the norm sooner than most people think. Case example, the new Galaxy Note can shoot 4k! Of course ,there will be varying qualities of 4k, so our goal is to provide the best visually. Because we had an head start in shooting exclusively and mastering our content in 4k, our goal is create the biggest ultra hd 4k erotica porn library for our subscribers.

Hear that, boys and girls? These experts in the erotic arts have been working hard, filming every in-and-out (and in again) of the famed beast with two backs. And from what we can see so far, they certainly seem to be turning out some impressive results. Every still you see in this post and on their website is from a video—there's no digital photography involved whatsoever.

4k Porn Is Here and Shows You Every. Single. Detail. (NSFW)S

If this sounds like the right porn subscription for you, and you're willing to shell out the dough for a 4K TV (which are becoming surprisingly mildly affordable!), you can expect to pay either $25 per month or $99 a year for your downloadable goodies. But just remember, there's a reason people dim the lights during sex. Reality ain't always pretty. [Huccio]

The First Pink Is The New Blog Baby Has Been Born

The TV Guide

At last! Our very own Shannon FINALLY gave birth to the baby she’s been carrying around in her adorable baby bump, bringing into the world the very first Pink is the new Blog baby! Shannon texted me early this morning to share the good news and authorized me to pass along the info with all y’all. Her baby was born earlier today happily and healthily. As you may recall, Shannon informed us from the start that she did not want to know the sex of her baby until she gave birth. Click below to find out if Shannon had a baby girl or a baby boy.

Yep, it’s a boy. I know there were a lot of folks out there hoping that Shannon would have a baby girl but all I wanted was for Shannon to give birth to a healthy baby of either sex. I guess our girl is destined to be surrounded by adorable little men ;) Thus far, we don’t know what she decided to name her baby boy but I’m sure she will let us all know when she’s ready. I hope you’ll join me in sending all of our LURVE and congrats to Shannon today. Hopefully she is sleeping right now (and NOT reading PITNB). Pink is the new Baby Boy — can you believe it?!

:)

Flexible Solar Panel Wings Could One Day Let Robot Birds Fly Forever

Hawks, eagles, and other birds of prey have been known to stay aloft for hours on end using a strategic mix of flapping and gliding. Robotic birds can do the same, except that they can't replenish their batteries by snatching a mid-flight snack. However, researchers at the University of Maryland are perfecting a set of flexible solar cell wings that could allow flying bots to stay aloft indefinitely, as long as they get a peek at the sun every so often.

Leaked: Photos of BMW’s 90th Anniversary Café Racer

This might be the most intense video we have ever seen, which says a lot considering the recent events in NYC. Riding through traffic in São Paulo on his Honda CB600F Hornet, this Brazilian motorcyclist gets a surprise as he merger into a new lane, as pair of hijackers pull-up next to him on another bike, grab for his handlebars, and demand to have his motorcycle at gunpoint. Offering no contest to the bikejackers and their desire for his motorcycle, the rest is all a bit shocking as it unfolds in the middle of the busy intersection. Catching everything with a helmet-mounted camera, we imagine this footage will end up as evidence in a Brazilian court, as an off-duty police officer jumps out of his car and fires two shots at one of the robbers.

Yesterday we brought you the first detail photos of the Ducati 1199 Superleggera, Bologna’s ultra-exclusive superbike, and before that we showed you the magnesium, titanium, and carbon fiber parts that would comprise the Superleggera, and help the machine drop a rumored 40 lbs from its already anorexic body. Now, we have the first clear photo of the 2014 Ducati 1199 Superleggera, taken apparently at Ducati’s dealer meeting in New Orleans. Only 500 of these beasts will be built worldwide, and first dibs are going to Borgo Panigale’s best customers. Cost is said to be in the $65,000 range for US buyers, €60,000 for Europeans. Though the photos that leaked out yesterday teased a Corse-inspired paint scheme, this is our first look at the finished livery for the Superleggera.

The leaks from Ducati keep coming in, and now we have our first photos of the Ducati 1199 Panigale R Superleggera, or “Project 1201″ as Ducati is calling it for now, and its tasty details. Stripped of its carbon fiber fairings, we can see where all those magnesium, titanium, and carbon pieces reside on the Superleggera’s rolling chassis. Continuing our extensive coverage of this machine’s debut, Asphalt & Rubber has gotten its hands on 16 detail photos of the new Ducati Superleggera, and they are waiting for you after the jump.

Earlier today, I was thinking of writing a story that would be titled “The Four Obvious Bikes that BMW is about to Debut” or something like that. While that list would include the spied water-cooled BMW R1200RT, BMW S1000R, and BMW NineT machines, at the top of that list would be the BMW R1200GS Adventure, which is predictable extension of the new GS, which debuted last year. BMW, it would seem, has beaten me to the punch. Officially official, the 2014 BMW R1200GS Adventure has broken cover now, and is ready for you to ADV on until your heart is content.

A&R broke the news last week about the upcoming Ducati 1199 Panigale R Superleggera, and we have already seen spy photos of the Ducati Scrambler (said to be a 2015 model, if it gets the production nod), and a liquid-cooled Ducati Monster 1200. Turning our attention to the latter in that list, what you see above is a photo of what greeted Ducati dealers when Ducati North America debuted its 2014 line to them last week in New Orleans, and from the look of things, the machine in question appears to be a street-ready roadster. What we for now will call the 2014 Ducati Monster 1200, this new motorcycle features a water-cooled Testastretta 11° engine, and is supposed to be along the same vein as the Monster S4 and its progeny.

Ducati has gone to great lengths so that you won’t know this, but our sources have confirmed to us that in about a month’s time, the Bologna Brand will debut perhaps the most ostentatious machine ever to come from the Borgo Panigale factory, the Ducati 1199 Panigale R Superleggera. An ultra-exclusive version of the Ducati 1199 Panigale R, the Superleggera edition is exactly what its Italian name suggests, a super-light version of the Panigale R. It’s ok if you need to take a minute to readjust yourself in your chair before reading further — we’ll wait.

With the advent of cheap wearable cameras, the internet has become awash with road rage videos, which unsurprisingly sometimes feature motorcyclists. That brings us to our latest edition, where a large group of motorcyclists in New York are caught on film having an altercation with a Range Rover Sport. We come into the incident after it begins, with a pack of motorcycles enveloped around the SUV on the West Side Highway, and a couple riders already gesticulating with the driver, Alexian Lien. One motorcyclist pulls in front of the Range Rover, brake-checks the four-wheeler, and is subsequently rear-ended…things then spiral out of control from there.

At the EICMA show last year, BMW Motorrad announced that it would make another air-cooled model, in order to commemorate the 90 years that the German OEM has been producing two-wheelers. Expected to be the production version of the company’s LoRider concept, we got our first taste of what BMW had in store for us with the BMW Concept Ninety — which had its retro goodness co-developed with America’s own Roland Sands. Now seemingly ready for a true production model, BMW Motorrad has been caught testing the BMW NineT street bike inside the Lake Garda region in Italy. Obviously fitted with the 1,200cc air-cooled boxer twin that has made the GS and RT such steady steeds, the NineT uses classic motorcycle aesthetics, mated to classic BMW design pieces.

Rider aids like traction control and ABS continue to prove the notion that electronics are the new horsepower, and with the US debut of the KTM 1190 Adventure R just a couple months away, we learn that the hot new adventure-touring machine will debut the new Bosch Motorcycle Stability Control (MSC) system. An extension of the venerable Bosch 9+ME ABS package, whose dual-channel setup has become the benchmark for OEM-equipped ABS units, the Bosch MSC is the next iteration of that standard. Integrating the ability for riders to brake into corners with a reduced risk of low-sliding, the Bosch MSC system is the next evolution in braking with its anti-lowside technology.

Valentino Rossi is to back a Moto3 team showcasing Italian talent from next season. The Italian will work with Sky Italia, the broadcaster who will be taking over the broadcast rights for MotoGP from next season, to field a pair of riders including current FMI Italia rider Romano Fenati on KTM machines. Sky Italia will be the main sponsor, while Rossi’s VR46 clothing and merchandise brand will provide support and backing for the project. The confirmation that Rossi will back the Sky Moto3 team comes after weeks of intense speculation that the nine-times World Champion was preparing to get involved in Moto3. Rossi had denied reports that he would manage a team, a denial which is strictly true. Rossi’s involvement will be at a greater remove.

On this episode of All Songs Considered, NPR Music's Stephen Thompson stops by in his 1984 Dodge Omni to pick up hosts Bob Boilen and Robin Hilton for a trip down Memory Lane, revisiting artists they discovered years ago.

Stephen's most recent Good Listener column asked the question: "How do you get your parents into new music?" The gang talks about the dynamic of sharing music between generations, which prompts Stephen to play a cut both he and his mother love: Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car."

Also on the show: hear why Björk loves the sound of Syrian musician Omar Souleyman; Dev Hynes returns with a new album under the name Blood Orange; Sleigh Bells turn up the gain with a noisy and thrilling pop-rock record; and Irish singer James Vincent McMorrow takes a surprising turn from folk to R&B.

US research team wins $1 million prize in Israel

(AP) — An Israeli nonprofit group has awarded a $1 million prize to a U.S.-based research team that is developing technology that allows paralyzed people to move things with their thoughts.

Israel Brain Technologies presented the award on Tuesday to BrainGate. The group is based at Brown University in Rhode Island and collaborates with Massachusetts General Hospital and other institutions.

BrainGate is developing a brain implant that can read brain signals and allow the paralyzed to move robotic limbs or computer cursors.

Brown University neuroscientist John Donoghue, who accepted the award, says BrainGate has created "the technology to pick up the brain signal and get it to the outside."

The nonprofit Israel Brain Technologies seeks to turn Israel into a global hub of brain technology. President Shimon Peres presented the award Tuesday.

Why A Peanut Butter Test For Alzheimer's Might Be Too Simple

University of Florida researcher Jennifer Stamps administers the peanut butter sniff test to a volunteer.

University of Florida researcher Jennifer Stamps administers the peanut butter sniff test to a volunteer.

Jesse S. Jones/University of Florida

Alzheimer's disease can be tough to diagnose, especially early on. Doctors can order brain scans and assay spinal fluids. But existing tests are imperfect and some can be invasive.

So you might understand the appeal of an alternative that researchers at the University of Florida in Gainesville tried. They had asked patients to sniff a dab of peanut butter during a routine test of cranial nerve function. Later, the team wondered if it could help them figure of it someone might be in the early stages of Alzheimer's.

In the test, a patient sniffs a little peanut butter one nostril at a time. The clinicians then measure the distance at which patients can detect the smell.

After administering the test about 100 times, Jennifer Stamps, a graduate student at the University of Florida's McKnight Brain Institute Center, says that she and her supervisor, neurologist Kenneth Heilman, noticed that patients in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease weren't able to smell as well from their left nostril.

"When we analyzed the data we were blown away," Stamps tells Shots. Impairment of the left nostril corresponded with a positive Alzheimer's diagnosis every time. It made sense to the Florida team, because with Alzheimer's, the left part of the brain is usually affected first. Smell, unlike sight, is ipsilateral: The side of the body sensing the stimulus and the side of the brain processing the information are the same.

They published the results of a preliminary study in the Journal of Neurological Sciences. Heilman's clinic has now started using the test to verify Alzheimer's diagnoses. The team is also looking to do a big, long-term study to confirm their findings to explore see if the sniff test could be used to actually diagnose Alzheimer's.

There's some promise there, but also a lot of doubt.

"The idea that smell is altered in Alzheimer's disease dementia patients is well known, and this is nothing new," neurologist David Knopman from the Mayo Clinic tells Shots.

Knopman says this study is nothing more than an interesting observation. The study itself acknowledges that the findings aren't fully verified. And the study sample of 94 patients (only 18 of whom were diagnosed with Alzheimer's) is too small to be conclusive.

Even if the researchers do a bigger study, Knopman is skeptical that the findings will prove useful. People can lose their ability to smell as they get older for many reasons, he says.

And there's another disease, dementia with Lewy bodies, that shares characteristics with both Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Smell impairment is even more severe in DLS patients, Knopman says.

"It would get you into that ballpark of Alzheimer's versus Lewy body disease, but it wouldn't help you distinguish between those two," he says.

Stamps remains cautiously optimistic about the prospects for the test. "It's helped us tremendously," Stamps says. "Because if you see someone that doesn't have that asymmetry, that you think might have Alzheimer's, it's going to lead you to look more closely for other things."

But for now, Stamps warns: Don't try this at home. Having slight differences between your left and right nostrils is normal, and you might end up freaking out over nothing.

Strong quake kills at least 67 in central Philippines

By Erik De Castro

CEBU CITY, Philippines (Reuters) - A powerful earthquake measuring 7.2 struck islands popular with tourists in the Philippines on Tuesday, killing at least 67 people, some as they prayed in a centuries-old church, and causing widespread damage to infrastructure, officials said.

Low-rise buildings collapsed on at least two islands and historic churches cracked and crumbled during the quake, which sparked panic, cut power and transport links and forced hospitals to evacuate patients.

At least 57 people died in collapsed structures and landslides on the island of Bohol, about 630 kms (390 miles) south of the capital, Rey Balido, spokesman for the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), told a briefing at army headquarters

He said nine others died in Cebu and another on Siquijor island. Nearly 170 were wounded on Cebu and Bohol islands.

President Benigno Aquino said he would visit earthquake-damaged areas on Wednesday. "Many of the structures there are old," he told reporters after attending the briefing.

The death toll looks bound to rise. Dennis Agustin, Bohol provincial police director, said in a radio interview as many as 77 people had died in 11 towns on the island, much of which was left without power and communications.

Four bridges collapsed and roads cracked, with many declared impassable due to landslides, prompting the authorities to declare a state of calamity in the province, along with Cebu.

Renato Solidum, head of the state seismology agency, said the magnitude 7.2 tremor had struck near Carmen town on Bohol island at 8:12 a.m. (0012 GMT).

"A magnitude 7 earthquake has energy equivalent to around 32 Hiroshima atomic bombs. Compared to the 2010 Haiti earthquake -- that had a magnitude of 7.0, this one had a magnitude of 7.2, slightly stronger," he told a news conference.

The volcanology agency said it was measured at a depth of about 56 km (35 miles).

GIRL DIES IN STAMPEDE

Hospitals moved patients to open spaces as aftershocks rocked Cebu, a city of about 870,000 people.

The NDRRMC's Balido said at least eight people who had been queuing for government aid payments in Cebu were hurt in a stampede sparked by the earthquake. A four-year-old girl was among them, said Social Welfare Secretary Corazon Soliman.

Archbishop Leonardo Medroso of Tagbilaran city in Bohol said two people were killed by falling debris as they were praying in a church in the town of Loon. The church, Bohol's biggest, dates from 1753.

He said a church in Loboc town was also damaged and that both were designated historical treasures. The belfry of the church in Baclayon, one of the oldest in Bohol province, had crumbled and its facade was cracked.

"The quake was really strong. I am 75 years old already, I have undergone so many earthquakes, but this is the strongest I have experienced," he told Philippine television.

Television showed that the belfry of the Basilica Minore del Sto. Nino de Cebu, which was built in the 1700s, had collapsed.

Transport Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya told Philippine radio that parts of Tagbilaran port in Bohol had collapsed.

Airline Cebu Pacific canceled flights to Cebu and Bohol due to the aftershocks and damage to airports. Ferry services were also suspended.

Television showed the collapsed viewing deck of Bohol's most famous tourist attraction, the Chocolate Hills in Carmen town, which is at the epicenter of the quake.

There were no reports of any foreign tourists among the casualties.

The volcanology agency said it had recorded nearly 300 aftershocks as of 5 p.m. (5.00 a.m. ET).

Strong earthquakes are common in the central Philippines.

Tens of thousands of people were ordered from their homes when a tsunami warning was issued after an undersea quake in the region in September 2012. One person was killed in that quake, which resulted in only minor damage and small waves.

Senate Gets A Dose Of Scolding With Its Morning Prayer

Senate Chaplain Barry C. Black has been using his morning prayer to express his displeasure with political gridlock.

Senate Chaplain Barry C. Black has been using his morning prayer to express his displeasure with political gridlock.

Drew Angerer/AP

It's easy to tune out when the Senate goes through its morning rituals. The president pro tem calls the chamber to order; there's the Pledge of Allegiance. One morning could sound like any other.

Except for the past two weeks. Barry C. Black, the Senate chaplain, has been using his morning prayers to say exactly what he thinks is wrong with Washington lawmakers: "Remove from them that stubborn pride, which imagines itself to be above and beyond criticism."

A retired rear admiral who often sports a bow tie, Black became the Senate's first African-American chaplain when he took the job 10 years ago.

Since the government shut down Oct. 1, his daily prayers have been sprinkled with reprimands — about the deadlock, the anger and the harm the impasse has inflicted on the rest of the country.

"Deliver us from the hypocrisy of attempting to sound reasonable while being unreasonable," he said. "Remove the burdens of those who are the collateral damage of this government shutdown."

Black himself has been part of that collateral damage: Since the shutdown, he hasn't been paid. The Bible study classes he leads — which are attended by senators four times a week — have been cancelled.

But Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine says she's glad he's still showing up for the morning prayer.

"I love that our chaplain encourages us to put aside petty differences and to remember the greater good and be guided by what is right," Collins says. "And in this case, I think there's a lot to be said for prayer."

Some of his prayers get pretty specific. Last week, he railed against the shutdown for delaying the payment of death benefits to military families. A law has since been passed to address that.

Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah says the chaplain should be taking a stand on issues.

"I think he has the right to be upset, too," Hatch says. "He's a member of the Senate right now, and he should be upset. You can give these milquetoast prayers all you want, but he gives substantive prayers, and I kind of appreciate it, personally."

Black told NPR three years ago he sees himself not only as a spiritual guide, but also as another policy adviser to lawmakers.

"A senator is often dealing with issues where he or she isn't certain as to what he or she should do," he said. "I mean, senators will even come to me and ask me, you know, 'What do you think I should do on this thing?' "

On the shutdown issue, senators probably don't even need to ask.

What If 'Aliens' Became a Sitcom? (Video)

From the original Ridley Scott horror movie through the more action-genre hijinks of James Cameron's Aliens, quasi-arthouse leanings of Alien 3 and whatever-that-was Prometheus -- not to mention Alien: Resurrection and the Aliens Vs. Predator movies -- 20th Century Fox's Alien franchise has been through a lot of changes in its long history. However, it has never been a straight-up comedy -- until now.

Created by Dorks of Yore -- a YouTube channel featuring the work of Mad TV's Pat Kilbane and The New in Living Color's Melissa McQueen -- Aliens: The Sitcom suggests that Cameron's Aliens had been such a success in 1986 that it was spun off into primetime sitcom Hosts, with (as you'd expect) "hilarious consequences."

STORY: 'Aliens vs. Predator' Once More for Dark Horse Comics

Somewhere, someone at Fox is trying to work out if there's a way to make this work on a weekly basis (Spoiler: No). Still, at least now we have a great model for the final episode of Dads. Watch the video below:

Shatner helps Priceline.com beam up to $1,000 stock frontier

FILE: Big Bang's Kaley Cuoco Teams Up with William Shatner for Second Priceline.com Ad. (PRNewsFoto/The Priceline Group) THIS CONTENT IS PROVIDE...

    PR NEWSWIRE

William Shatner in a Priceline.com ad. The company's stock is in sight of breaking the S&P 500's $1,000 price barrier.

To boldly go where no stock has gone before...

Driven at warp speed by Star Trek's Capt. Kirk (aka TV pitchman William Shatner), Priceline.com is set to become the S&P 500's first ever $1,000 stock.

That astronomical price is a result of not only domestic growth but gains in market share in countries slow to transfer over to online travel bookings.

"Priceline's comeback is almost as remarkable as Shatner's," said Simon Baker of Baker Avenue Asset Management. "Their recent blowout numbers were particularly impressive. Crank the dial to 1,000 and 'Beam me up, Scotty.'"

Shares of Priceline are up more than 70 percent since bringing back Shatner of "Star Trek" fame back as its star in U.S. advertisements one year ago (after "killing" him off seven months prior in an ad).?

Maybe the thought of breaking through the $1,000 price barrier made investors nervous on Monday as the stock actually fell over $10, or 1.1 percent, on the Nasdaq. Still, at $959.45 per share, the four-digit price is still closer than a new galaxy for the Starship Enterprise.

The stock went into warp drive last week after the company reported net income jumped 24 percent in the second quarter, as travel bookings climbed 38 percent. Even more impressive, international bookings surged 44 percent in the period, marking the fifth quarter in a row of 40 to 45 percent growth for that metric, according to Piper Jaffray.

(Read more:The Street's fave small firm is crushing the market)

At least 17 Wall Street analysts came out with glowing reports after the earnings release, raising their share price targets to above $1,000. The average target price of those analysts is $1,133.

Standard & Poor's confirmed there has never been a $1,000 a share member in the 56-year history of the S&P 500, even during the dot-com bubble that gave birth to Priceline. Of course back then, many companies would split their shares before getting close to that milestone.

That financial maneuver has grown out of practice as companies try to emulate Warren Buffett's and Steve Jobs' dislike of stock splits for encouraging speculation. Currently, Google?whose founders also don't believe in splitting stock?has the second-highest stock price in the index at $884 a share.

While an astute acquisition of fare aggregator Kayak.com will help drive Priceline's growth in the U.S., it's the company's international sites like Booking.com, TravelJigsaw and Agoda that will be the biggest driver of future earnings growth, according to the analysts.

(Read more: Ford hits the fast lane: Shares could race up 30%)

Goldman Sachs sees adjusted earnings per share jumping 11 percent in 2014 and 14 percent in 2015 as Europe stabilizes.

"Priceline is one of the few stocks on a monster run in 2013 where the company has grown earnings just as quickly as the stock has appreciated," said Enis Taner, global macro editor for RiskReversal.com. "In the past three years earnings have tripled and the stock has tripled. This stock is no bubble."

The one concern analysts cited was overspending on marketing expenses, especially in Europe as Priceline tries to steal from existing sites or be the first stop for users switching from offline to online hotel bookings. But if the company can keep margins under control, the trip to $1,000 should be coming in at least the next 12 months, analysts said.

    Ironically, it may be its pitchman who needs a raise. As the stock rocketed higher last week, Shatner tweeted;

"Congratulations to @Priceline on their stock price. Wish I hadn't sold my stock all those years ago."

Frugal Family Tree: Easy Recipes for Family Meals with Oatmeal ...

For my family I like to save money when we shop for groceries. I think if we can save on food we can have money for extra things and fun adventures. I look at a sales ad for a store, check my coupons and plan a weekly meal list based on the deals. This week we are shopping at Smart and Final for items on sale to make easy recipes for family meals. I see that the First Street brand has many items on sale and a $2 off offer when you buy 4 participating products. We always buy First Street items and Smart and Final so I decided to plan a day around eating Oatmeal since my son loves it and it is on sale.?

My little shopping buddy always likes to help pick out items in the store. We plan to have Fruit and Cream Oatmeal with grapes and orange juice for breakfast, Oatmeal Cookies and peanut butter cookies for lunch at the park and Oatmeal crusted chicken for dinner with friends to watch some movies. We have a very fun day planned. My son convinced me in the store well insisted is more like it that we change my plan from Oatmeal Raisin cookies to Chocolate Chip Oatmeal cookies with almonds. He loves chocolate!

For Breakfast we are having Blueberry Fruit and Cream Oatmeal with banana slices on top, green grapes that we got a great deal on and orange juice. A healthy and easy start to the day.

When we were in the store and my son realized we were making cookies it was all he could talk about until we made them. He always likes to help in the kitchen. Sometimes its just trying the ingredients for quality control of course. I have many First Street baking items already in my cupboards so I only needed to buy the Quick Oats and Chocolate Chips. I have always loved making cookies from scratch. As a teenager my family would ask me to make my awesome chocolate chip cookies, it always made me feel special to bake it for them. For my son I add the oatmeal for texture and the health benefits.
I made simple First Street Peanut Butter Sandwiches topped with green grapes to serve with my Oatmeal Chocolate Chip with Almonds Cookies. We had a mini picnic at the park benches in between my son playing in the splash pad and playground. We recently found this park and we love it. On the hot summer days we are able to have him play in the water. My son even shared some of our cookies with a few kids at the park. He wanted to pet their little dog and offered a cookie for a pet. He is a smart cookie!

When we got home from the park my son was exhausted from playing in the sun. While my son took a nap I planned out the dinner I was going to make for a few friends that were coming over to watch some movies. I am making Oatmeal Crusted Chicken and serving it with spinach couscous.
For my recipe I pulsed in the blender the quick oats and spices so the oatmeal would stick to the chicken and cook more evenly. My son was awake by the time I was ready to use the blender and loves to help push the button. Next I dipped the chicken in an egg wash before covering it in the oatmeal crust. I drizzled the top of the chicken with butter before going into the oven to help the oatmeal brown. You can use your favorite spice mix like I did or add the ones directly from the recipe. My spice mix contains all the spices on the ingredients list.

    Oatmeal Crusted Chicken

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup?regular oats
    • 1/2 teaspoon?salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon?dried rubbed sage
    • 1/4 teaspoon?dried summer savory or parsley
    • 1/4 teaspoon?dried thyme
    • 1/4 teaspoon?black pepper
    • 1 egg
    • 4 Chicken Leg Quarters
    • 2 tablespoons?butter or stick margarine, melted

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 450?.
    2. Combine oats, salt, and next spice ingredients (salt through pepper) in a food processor or blender, process until oats are finely chopped. Place oat mixture in a shallow dish; place egg ?in a medium bowl. Dip chicken in whisked egg, and coat in oat mixture. Place chicken in baking pan and drizzle butter over chicken. Bake at 450? for 45 minutes or until done.

We had a wonderful day spending time as a family enjoying meals, a day at the park and movie night with friends. My recipes we all planned around a simple ingredient that was on sale. Have you had a day with one ingredient as your meals inspiration?

Sinkhole causes resort villa to partially collapse

CLERMONT, Fla. (AP) ? It sounded like a thunderstorm as windows broke and the ground shook, but visitors who were awakened from their rooms at a villa near Orlando soon realized the building was starting to collapse.

Parts of the Summer Bay Resort building were swallowed by a 100-foot sinkhole early Monday. All 105 guests were evacuated from the building, and no injuries were reported. Two neighboring buildings also were evacuated as a precaution. Inspectors remained at the scene Monday to determine whether those buildings would be safe to re-enter, and whether any belongings from the collapsed structure would be recovered.

The development's president said there were no earlier signs that a sinkhole was developing. He said the resort underwent testing when it was built about 15 years ago, showing stable ground.

Israel markets settler homes before Palestinian prisoner release

    By Jeffrey Heller

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel moved forward on Sunday with plans to build nearly 1,200 new homes for Jewish settlers, holding fast to a defiant settlement policy just days before its expected release of Palestinian prisoners.

Israel has made a push on settlements since the resumption on July 30 of U.S.-brokered talks on Palestinian statehood, signaling its intention to continue to build in major enclaves it wants to keep in any future peace deal.

Israeli media, in unconfirmed reports, have suggested Sunday's housing plans were disclosed to Washington in advance and were aimed partly at overcoming opposition within the pro-settlement cabinet to prisoner releases designed to spur negotiations halted three years ago.

"I saw that important newspapers reported this morning that there is purportedly some kind of coordination regarding the construction," Housing Minister Uri Ariel, a member of the ultranationalist Jewish Home party, said on Army Radio.

"I very much believe the newspapers and the media but I don't know whether I can authenticate this," he said, calling the "release of terrorists" unjust.

Israel's Housing Ministry said on its website that tenders were issued for building 793 new apartments in areas of the West Bank that Israel annexed after capturing the territory and the eastern part of Jerusalem in the 1967 Middle East war.

Plots for the construction of 394 more units were being sold in Ariel, Efrat, Maale Adumim and Betar, settlements in areas Israel has said it aims to retain in any land-for-peace accord.

While condemning settlement expansion, Palestinians have stopped short of threatening outright to abandon the peace negotiations, which are due to go into a second round on Wednesday in Jerusalem after a session in Washington.

"The international community must stand with this peace process and must stand shoulder to shoulder with us and hold Israel accountable for its continuing settlement activities," Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat told Reuters.

Israeli Finance Minister Yair Lapid, whose centrist party is right-wing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's biggest partner in the governing coalition, called the decision to issue the settlement housing tenders "unhelpful to the peace process".

    PRISONER RELEASE

Israel is expected to free, on Tuesday or Wednesday, a first group of 26 Palestinian prisoners out of a total of 104 Arab inmates whose release was approved last month to help restart the talks.

An Israeli cabinet committee was to convene later on Sunday to finalize a list of 26 prisoners for the first release, as families of those killed in Palestinian attacks appealed against the move. The High Court usually opts not to intervene.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas had demanded the release of prisoners held since before a 1993 interim peace accord took effect. Israel has jailed thousands more Palestinians since then, many for carrying out deadly attacks.

Drawing Palestinian anger, Israel's military-run Civil Administration in the West Bank gave preliminary approval on Thursday for the construction of more than 800 new settler homes - some of them in isolated settlements - but said it needed government approval before building could begin.

Most world powers regard all the settlements as illegal and Palestinians say the enclaves could deny them a viable and contiguous state.

Some 500,000 Israeli settlers live in the West Bank and East Jerusalem amid 2.5 million Palestinians. Israel withdrew in 2005 from the Gaza Strip, which is now governed by Hamas Islamists opposed to permanent co-existence with the Jewish state.
